Longho - Design Concept Store

Palermo, Italy

Longho originates from the experience and passion of architect Michele Longo, a devoted connoisseur of beauty and design.
As a global leader in the production of fabrics for clothing and furnishings, Luilor required a lighting system that would enhance the natural colors of its textiles.
For a high-fashion and furnishings company, accurately assessing the exact shades is essential to harmonize them with the surrounding environment. The team of professionals at Elcom designed a customized solution, using advanced products to create
lighting that enhances the natural beauty of Luilor’s fabrics.

Beauty blends with light

The lighting project involved three different spaces with varying lighting needs and placements: the showroom, illuminated with Proline 5690 profiles and Malaga spotlights, using high CRI (98) LED strips to highlight display samples and create pinpoint lighting on walkways; the fabric archive, lit with 3546 surface-mounted profiles, using high CRI (98) LED strips to preserve the color fidelity of historical yarns; and the production area, illuminated with Proline 5690 profiles, using high CRI (98) LED strips with triple dimmable emission to ensure adequate lighting during fabric production.

The project focused on the use of high color rendering index (CRI) LED strips, a result of Elcom’s advanced engineering. These LED strips, with a CRI of 98, offer extremely accurate color reproduction akin to natural light, thanks to a high density of LEDs (196 LEDs per meter). This ensures powerful illumination with reduced energy consumption.
